About
A patient-first
practice.
Abercrombie Physical Therapy was founded on a simple idea: that the person in front of you matters more than the paperwork. No referrals for profit. No assembly-line care. Just skilled therapy delivered with respect.

MPT · CSCS
Lea grew up in Danville and graduated from George Washington High School in 1991. She studied at Washington & Lee University, earning her undergraduate degree in 1995, and went on to earn her Master of Physical Therapy from Elon College in 2000.
That same year she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist — a credential that informs how she blends therapy with fitness, helping patients not just recover, but build resilience.
Two decades of practice later, the work is still personal. Patients aren't numbers on a schedule; they're neighbors, friends, family. The goal is always the same — to send them home stronger, with the tools and knowledge to stay that way.
What we believe
Patient first.
Always.
- No referrals for profit. Recommendations are based on what you need — nothing else.
- Education over dependency. The best outcome is a patient who can manage on their own.
- Time, not throughput. Sessions move at your pace, not a quota's.
Come see how it feels.
A short conversation is the best way to know if we're a fit.
